January 27, 2011 – Milwaukee, Wisconsin  - Briggs & Stratton Corporation announced that its Board of Directors has elected Edward Wajda, Vice President & General Manager, International as a Corporate Officer at its meeting held January 26th, 2011.

Mr. Wajda came to Briggs & Stratton in 2008 with over 15 years of global manufacturing experience, including global divisional start-ups, new market development and extensive business growth management. Most recently, he served as Sr. Vice President & General Manager for Oshkosh Specialty Vehicles, Sr. Vice President & General Manager for Healthtronics Corporation, and Divisional President, Jacuzzi Asia & Middle East

Ed holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, a BS in Bio Engineering from DePaul University and is a 6 Sigma Black Belt.
