  Hong Kong Signs CEP with New Zealand
   

On March 29 Hong Kong and New Zealand signed a Closer Economic Partnership (CEP) agreement. New Zealand is the only country to have a free trade agreement with Chinese mainland and now Hong Kong. The agreement will prove beneficial for both parties. New Zealand Trade Minister, Tim Groser, has stated that the CEP will work well with New Zealand’s existing FTA with China. Mr. In fact, he believes that many New Zealand companies will use Hong Kong as a stepping stone to southern China and will prove to be of great importance to New Zealand’s economy in the future.

  World Trade Centers Association Pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai
    The World Trade Center Association is preparing for the opening of the Shanghai Expo, May 1st. The WTCA Pavilion is currently developing an outstanding program for WTCA members to connect with China and the world. This will lead WTC members' networks to expand indirectly, as well. New additions to their program include coordination with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), which will bring in governmental and business delegations weekly from all Chinese provinces and regions. The WTCA staff is working to secure opportunities to meet, network and hold two-way presentations with these delegations. In addition, negotiations with other international associations and chambers are being established to bring a diverse air to the pavilion.
