World Trade Center Wisconsin staff and alumni are by their
very nature global citizens.From
the Market Intelligence staff to the board of directors, each has their own set
of ongoing experiences. Periodically we shall highlight some of the more recent
career moves and adventures so that our members can better get to know the
people who compile their research, organize programs and reach across the globe
to develop contacts for Wisconsin. The past few months has seen a number of
WTCW staff and alunmi criss-crossing the globe, advising companies, meeting
with fellow WTC's and studying.
While the economy was in the doldrums desperately trying to
make an exit from what the media now seems to be calling the Great Recession,
the World Trade Center Wisconsin moved forward continuing to help member
companies with both survival and growth. From conducting research to making
global contacts, the staff continued with its mission of providing a global
competitive edge to Wisconsin companies. So while many may wish to forget 2009
and simply move forward with 2010, a brief summary of some connections and
accomplishments from this World Trade Center office, some of which hint at 2010
activities...
The World Trade Center Wisconsin continues to work closely
in support of the Milwaukee Water Council. From involvement in the UN Global Compact Cities Programme
Local Secretariat to sitting on the International Committee and the Global
Communications Committee, the WTCW brings its contacts and expertise to the
table for this economic development initiative.
