Foreign Procurement for Wisconsin Companies |

In partnership with World Trade Center Washington DC and the Wisconsin Procurement Institute, World Trade Center Wisconsin coordinated a seminar teaching companies how to sell to foreign governments. Held at the World Trade Center Washington DC, also known as the Ronald Reagan Building, the seminar featured speakers from the Office of the United States Trade Representative, and the Governments of Australia, Belgium and Canada.

U.S. -Columbia Free Trade Agreement |

This free trade agreement would eliminate tariffs and other barriers to goods and services exported to Colombia. Over 80% of U.S. exports of consumer and industrial products to Columbia would become duty free, promoting economic growth and expanded trade between the U.S. and Colombia. |

Vietnam Ambassador Visits Wisconsin |

Wisconsin welcomed His Excellency Le Cong Phong, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary, Socialist Republic of Vietnam in mid-May. Invited by a group of business leaders interested in Vietnam, including Jeff Browne of Vietnomics (former President of the Public Policy Forum) and Rodney Hathaway of Hathaway-Nguyen Capital Management, the Ambassador spent two days meeting with executives from the Milwaukee area and learning about the buisness, culture and educational resources in our region, and our region's links with Vietnam. The visit continues Vietnman-focused initiatives in Wisconsin kicked off by last year's World Trade Center Wisconsin - Rotary Club of Milwaukee mission to Vietnam, of which Mr. Browne helped to coordinate and Mr. Hathaway was a participant. |

Staying true to the World Trade Center's policy advocacy mission of maintaining open lines of communication with domestic and foreign government leaders and educating these leaders on the concerns of Wisconsin companies, WTCW traveled to Washington, DC to meet with various officials and advisors in order to listen and discuss trade issues important to our state.
