The United States is India’s largest trading and investment partner with bilateral trade adding up to over 32 billion dollars in 2006. However, as the U.S. dollar gets weaker during the current economic downfall and the Indian rupee grows stronger, there has been rising concern whether it is wise to continue putting so much capital in India. While this concern is valid, India is, and will continue to be an important business partner to the United States.
