Mr. Condon graduated from the College of Charleston with a BA degree in Political Science. Prior to joining the South Carolina World Trade Center, Mr. Condon worked for fourteen years at his family business, Condon's Department Stores as Vice President and buyer for several departments. Mr. Condon’s family business was established in Charleston in the late 1800’s.

In 1995 Mr. Condon became a member of the South Carolina World Trade Center and studied exporting and importing at the SC World Trade Institute's World Trade Certificate Program at Trident Technical College. Mr. Condon was hired by the South Carolina World Trade Center in April 1997 as Managing Director of the South Carolina World Trade Institute, the educational arm of the SC World Trade Center. In September of 1999 he was named Executive Director of the South Carolina World Trade Center. At the SCWTC Mr. Condon developed a process to develop and/or expand trading companies called The SCWTC 9 Steps of Importing and Exporting. This system uses the WTCA as an integral part of the process. Many new companies have been launched and assisted over the years. In order to create long term improvements in international trade in South Carolina Mr. Condon was instrumental in developing a unique web based curriculum called globalMARKETS. Mr. Condon serves on the Board of Directors of the World Trade Centers Association. In addition he serves on the World Trade Centers Association Committee on International Relations and Development and the World Trade Centers Association Committee for Tourism, Hospitality and Cultural Exchange. Mark Condon was also named deputy chair of the WTCA Interregional Task Force for Trade.

Mr. Condon is on the executive committee for the South Carolina International Trade Coalition which consists of most of the international trade groups in SC. http://www.buyusa.gov/southcarolina/scitc.html He also serves on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina International Trade Conference www.scitc.org that was established in 1973. Mark is married to Shannon Foster Condon and they have three sons; twin sons Paul Mark and Jameson Joseph and Rory Molony Condon. Mr. Condon is a native of Charleston, South Carolina and lives on James Island. He enjoys boating, fishing and golf.
